Regattas are sailing competitions with the aim of passing the default path in the shortest possible time. Each race will be arranged in a particular race area for the prescribed class of sailing boats allowed for this competition.
Sailing competitions are held in classes, ranging from small sailing boats for one person to the big boats with a crew of 10-20 members. As for the race field, most races are held close to shore in the field buoyed. There are also endurance race where the contestants have to pass over the ocean or even sail around the world.
Sailing classes are determined by: the length of the vessel, square footage, number and shape of nuclei, number and length of the mast, the hull number (other than the standard single-hull vessels, there are boats with two hulls or catamarans and boats with three troops or trimarans), number of crew, etc
One of the best organizers in Croatia for boats for regattas and flotilla is kaiser yachting. Along the Adriatic coast, they have several bases with 5 or more of the same boat, and offer a large selection of "one design" boats.
Flotilla sailing
They offer standard flotilla sailing larger groups under professional guidance of an experienced skipper, who cares about the safety of participants and boats. Charter boats, crew finder, skipper training, all in one place.
